How did I become a Digital Nomad

So it all started in a casual conversation, between me, a structured accountant that never lived anywhere else, and an Australian girl, that had lived in too many places. Being a digital nomad was a dream I felt unreachable, only for people in IT or foreigners that were very lucky. It is for real, she told me. I found it hard to believe I replied, with my profession is impossible, and there are so many places that seem fake that I wouldn`t even know where to start. Try Upwork , she insisted, that`s where I work and allows me to travel the world, with your skills you will be more than fine. Ok, I said, let me write it down. This was January 2017. Saved the name in my memory and continued with my normal 9 to 5 life. In June, I decided I needed a change, I wanted to be somewhere else, I was feeling stucked.
